Position Summary

Magnificat Houses, Inc., a 58 year old nonprofit in Midtown, near downtown, Houston, seeks an experienced fundraising professional with Established relationships in the Houston philanthropic and corporate community. The contractors primary role is to open doors, make introductions, facilitate meetings, provide collateral materials to potential funders and help cultivate relationships with foundation and corporate decision-makers, and to secure financial contributions and Sponsorship opportunities.

This position does not include grant writing, grant management, or oversight of the organization's fundraising operations.

• Identify your existing and new connections and introduce potential foundation, corporate, and sponsorship partners to Magnificat Houses, leadership and development team.
• Leverage existing professional networks to facilitate meetings with funders and corporate leaders.
• Assist leadership in developing relationship-building strategies with prospective funders.
• Represent the organization at networking and donor engagement opportunities when appropriate.
• Provide guidance on foundation and corporate engagement best practices.
• Support cultivation efforts leading to funding, sponsorship, and partnership opportunities.

• Established network of contacts within Houston-area foundations, corporations, and philanthropic organizations.
• Demonstrated success securing introductions and building relationships that result in funding opportunities.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and networking skills.
• Understanding of nonprofit fundraising and philanthropic engagement.

This is an independent part-time, contractor position with semi-flexible hours. Compensation may be structured as a retainer, hourly fee, or project-based agreement consistent with ethical fundraising standards.

To expand the organization's access to foundation and corporate funding opportunities through strategic introductions, relationship development, and secure financial contributions and sponsorship connections.
