Outpatient Clinical Nurse– Role Overview
The Outpatient Clinical Nurse coordinates and delivers patient care across the continuum, ensuring quality, evidence-based practice in collaboration with the inter‑professional team. This role advocates for patients and families, organizes team workflows, and supports staff development to optimize care and resource use. Nurses in this role are expected to lead change, foster innovation, and contribute to continuous improvement in clinical practice.
IdealCandidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited nursing program with a Bachelor’s degree preferred, and holds a current Texas RN license along with BLS or CPR certification. They bring at least two years of clinical nursing experience, ideally in pre‑admission testing, PACU, procedural, med‑surg, or ICU settings. Certification in oncology nursing or a specialty practice area is highly valued.
This candidate demonstrates strong clinical judgment, technological proficiency, and a commitment to evidence-based care and professional growth.
Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–4:30 pm. Hours may flex earlier or later depending on clinic needs. Occasional weekend and early morning shifts (starting at 6:45 am) may be required for Code Blue coverage.

Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing;
