In this role, you will perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments, primarily conducting interview-based evaluations with some physical assessments. No prescribing or treatment is involved, making it an ideal position for professionals with a background in internal medicine, family medicine, orthopedic surgery, or related fields. This is a flexible, PRN position offering ongoing engagements, perfect for those seeking supplemental income or additional clinical experience.
Required Skills:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Indiana
- Proven experience in general medicine, family practice, internal medicine, or orthopedic settings
- Excellent interviewing and physical assessment skills
- Strong organization and documentation capabilities
- Ability to work independently and adhere to exam protocols
- Comfortable with interview-based assessments and basic physical tests such as range of motion and muscle strength evaluations
Skills:
- Prior experience with Compensation & Pension exams or veteran healthcare
- Certification in relevant specialties or additional licenses
- Familiarity with medical documentation and report submission
- Ability to utilize telehealth tools and electronic health records
Education and Experience:
- Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) or higher from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical practice in general medicine or related specialty
- Previous experience with occupational health, military medicine, or veteran healthcare is advantageous
- Must reside within Indiana or be willing to travel within designated areas
- Availability for half-day (4-hour) or full-day (8-hour) shifts
- Ability to commit to ongoing assignments with flexible scheduling
- Willingness to complete necessary credentialing and onboarding processes promptly
