Clinical Nurse - Main Operating Room

Summary

Experienced Clinical Nurse - Main Operating Room - Ortho/Neuro. The primary purpose of the Clinical Nurse in the Main Operating Room is to provide safe, efficient, and compassionate care to surgical patients before, during, and after procedures, while supporting the surgical team and maintaining a sterile environment.

Day Shift: combination of 12s (6:30-7) and 8 (6:30-3) or 3-12hr shifts. Shift and days off will be determined based on institutional needs.

The first 4-6 months will include Operating Room Orientation from Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM.

Minimum $32.69 - Midpoint $50.48 - Maximum $68.26

PLUS - Nurses will earn up to $7,280 in annual department-based differentials.

• Lead patients, families, and team members toward future care goals
• Organize and prioritize patient care team workflow
• Ensure continuity of care through discharge planning and coordination
• Practice independently within nursing scope

• Participate in unit-level shared decision-making
• Identify and resolve barriers to care
• Build partnerships to improve patient outcomes

• Deliver compassionate, competent care using technology and procedures
• Train and support team members in roles such as charge nurse and preceptor
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and advocate for patients

• Apply research findings to daily practice

• Minimize risk behaviors and report incidents
• Support performance improvement and document care accurately

• Perform other duties as assigned

• Preferred:
  At least one year of Operating Room registered nursing experience in Ortho and Neuro.

  Certification in specialty practice area. Upon Hire

• All clinical nurses with less than one year of registered nurse (RN) work experience will be required to participate in the Clinical Nurse Residency Program.
