West Oaks Hospital has provided psychiatric care to the Houston area and surrounding communities for over four decades. Our 176-bed acute care facility is fully accredited and includes a 16-bed residential treatment center for adult chemical dependency.

West Oaks Hospital is seeking a dynamic and talented Intake Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team of compassionate, dedicated professionals. The Intake Registered Nurse is responsible for coordination of assessments of incoming patients with Intake Patient Access Representatives and Intake Assessors, coordinates doctors’ assessments and initiates the admission process. The Intake Registered Nurse also provides technical assistance to the discharge planning process, under the direction of the Director of Intake Services.

• Education required:
  
  Graduate of an accredited school of nursing through ADN, diploma or BSN program.
• Licensure and certification required:
  Current Texas State Registered Nurse licensure, CPR and hospital de‑escalation certifications.
• Experience required:
  None. Preferred:
  Two years of inpatient psychiatric nursing and/or medical/surgical experience.
