Work independently or within a healthcare facility, utilizing your expertise to conduct Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments with efficiency and professionalism.

Required Skills:

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in Texas
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in general medicine or related fields
• Strong clinical assessment and interview skills
• Ability to perform physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and adhere to strict guidelines

Nice to Have

Skills:

• Experience with Compensation & Pension examinations
• Background in family medicine, internal medicine, or orthopedic surgery
• Familiarity with veteran healthcare protocols
• Prior experience in telehealth or remote assessment environments

Preferred

Education and Experience:

• Master’s degree or higher in Nursing (MSN or DNP)
• Previous healthcare experience in veteran or government healthcare programs
• Proven track record of managing multiple assessments efficiently

Other Requirements:

• Ability to work on a per diem basis, with flexible hours from 4-8 hours per shift
• Willingness to perform interviews and physical assessments with veterans
• Reliable transportation to own office or VES facility within 50 miles of Houston, TX
• Must pass credentialing and onboarding processes swiftly
• Commitment to maintaining compliance with all applicable state, federal, and local laws

Competitive hourly pay of $402.00, with rates structured at $600 for half-day (4 hours or less) and $1,200 for full-day (5+ hours) shifts. Opportunities include weekly pay via direct deposit, comprehensive benefits, and a robust referral bonus program. Additional reimbursements for licensure, certification, travel, and other eligible expenses are provided.
