Opportunity

This position is contingent upon award
. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Psychiatric Registered Nurse to join our team. In this role, you will provide crucial nursing care to patients, including assessments, medication administration, and management of both chronic and acute health conditions. Collaborating with our healthcare team, you will ensure high-quality medical service delivery while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

  • Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Perform detailed mental health evaluations, including suicide and violence risk assessments.
  • Develop Care Plans: Create and manage individualized treatment plans with input from psychiatrists and the interdisciplinary team.
  • Administer Medications: Safely give psychotropic medications and monitor for effects and adherence.
  • Provide Crisis Intervention: Use therapeutic communication techniques to de-escalate patient crises.
  • Lead Treatment

    Activities:

    Facilitate group therapy and document patient progress.
  • Perform intake screenings and physical exams to identify conditions requiring further treatment.
  • Conduct nursing rounds and provide direct patient care in accordance with established practices.
  • Assess and treat acute problems, referring to advanced care providers as necessary.
  • Collect lab specimens and perform necessary testing.
  • Respond to medical emergencies, providing immediate care to stabilize patients.
  • Utilize telecommunication services effectively in a multi-lingual environment.
  • Work flexibly and adapt to changes as needed.
  • Enhance communication skills in English for effective interaction with patients and the healthcare team.
  • Uphold confidentiality and cultural sensitivity in all relationships.
  • Complete required organizational training for compliance with healthcare standards.
