House Supervisor (RN) Day Shift Opportunity

West Oaks Hospital has provided psychiatric care to the Houston area and surrounding communities for over four decades. Our 176‑bed acute care facility is fully accredited and includes a 16‑bed residential treatment center for adult chemical dependency.
We offer a broad range of behavioral health programs for children, adolescents and adults. Treatment is offered at multiple levels of care including inpatient, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient.
Responsibilities- Provide leadership and direction to all RNs, LVNs and Mental Health Technicians as well as clinical/administrative support for the facility during shifts.
- Intervene as needed.
- Maintain the philosophy, goals and objectives for the Nursing Department compatible with professional nursing practice.
- Maintain Standards of Care.
- Ensure the hospital maintains proper staffing levels while on duty.
- Interpret and discuss administrative policies with staff, patients and visitors when necessary. Ensure completion of admissions paperwork and that patients are fully informed during the admission process. Supply medication for patient use to the units in collaboration with the on‑call pharmacist per hospital policies and procedures.
- When required, receive referral/inquiry calls, respond to requests for information on programs/services and perform assessments/medical screenings.

Qualifications- Education required:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (ADN, Diploma or BSN). - Licensure and certification required:
Current Texas State Registered Nurse licensure, CPR and hospital de‑escalation certifications. - Experience required:
Five years of inpatient psychiatric nursing and/or medical/surgical experience, including supervisory experience.
