Overview
Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) – RN/LVN. Full‑time, Monday‑Friday. Located at Misty Willow Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Houston, TX. The ADON assists the Director of Nursing in managing the nursing department and provides routine daily care for patients requiring long‑term or rehabilitative care.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Director of Nursing in overall management of the Nursing department.
- Provide routine daily care and services to support patient care per nursing care procedures.
- Orient and provide continuing education for nursing staff.
- Attend staff meetings and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain compliance with state regulations and facility policies.
- Manage multiple priorities and handle stressful situations calmly.
- Minimum two years of long‑term care experience.
- Current RN or LVN license in Texas.
- One to three years of MDS experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Service‑oriented with a positive, empathetic, respectful demeanor.
- Ability to organize tasks and manage multiple priorities.
