RN PreOp PACU Endo

Overview

North Houston Endoscopy & Surgery is hiring a RN Pre Op/PACU Endo. Position requires weekdays only — no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day.

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients in Pre Op/PACU/Endoscopy settings, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, ensuring safety, comfort, and privacy at all times.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks including conscious sedation and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate.
• Provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the patient and family in preparation for discharge.

• Graduate of an accredited RN school of nursing
• Active RN license in the state
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by the center
• 2 years of experience in PACU or critical care preferred
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written
