Working in collaboration with the attending physician, the nurse practitioner performs medical acts in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, # 301.152, Texas Occupations Code and Medical Practice Act, # 157..
Minimum Qualifications- Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current, valid license to practice nursing in the State of Texas.
- Completion of an accrediting Nurse Practitioner program (Family, Geriatric or Pediatric).
- Has Limited Prescriptive Authority.
- Basic Life Support from a hospital-based American Heart Association approved program.
- Other certificates as required by unit/service.
- Communication Skills
- Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contract)
- Exceptional Verbal (Public Speaking)
- Languages:
English/Spanish Preferred - Writing / Composing (Correspondence/Reports)
- P.C.
- Adult, Family, Geriatric or Pediatric Practitioner Program
- Master's Degree in Nursing
