The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking a Clinical Nurse to join the ATC - West Houston department. The ATC - West Houston department focuses on delivering high-quality ambulatory oncology care, including infusion therapies, patient education, and coordinated treatment services across the care continuum. The Clinical Nurse in this setting plays a critical role in ensuring safe, efficient, and compassionate care for patients receiving complex cancer treatments.

The Clinical Nurse contributes to this mission by delivering evidence-based care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and supporting patients and families throughout their treatment journey.

The ideal candidate will bring experience with chemotherapy administration, demonstrates strong clinical nursing expertise, the ability to work autonomously, and effectiveness in interdisciplinary collaboration and at least one year of nursing experience.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday, Shifts may vary between 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM, depending on business and operational needs. Some flexibility may be required.

Hourly breakdown of salary range:

Minimum $32.69 - Midpoint $50.48 - Maximum $68.26

PLUS - Nurses will earn up to $3,120 in annual department-based differentials.

Responsibilities

Transformational Leadership

Clinical Nurse leads patients, families, and care teams to meet evolving care needs.

* Organize and prioritize patient care team activities including chemotherapy/biotherapy administration, pump connections/disconnections, IV fluids, antibiotic therapy, IV starts, and rapid response to reactions/emergencies

* Ensure continuity of care through patient education and coordinated transitions across the care continuum

* Practice autonomously within scope of professional nursing practice

* Identify barriers to patient care and develop effective solutions
