Job SummarySeeking a Nurse Manager of Critical Care ICU who is responsible to the Director, Vice President and/or the Chief Nursing Officer for facilitating, coordinating, and delegating the delivery of patient care to a defined group of patients throughout their hospitalization. The Nurse Manager is responsible 24 hours a day for staffing and management of patient care in each unit, promoting professional nursing practices, and utilizing resources to meet those responsibilities.
Responsibilities- Build and maintain a high functioning team; provide leadership and direction for staffing units in accordance with organizational goals and objectives.
- Manage personnel including interviewing, work allocation, orientation and training, staff development, problem resolution, performance evaluation, and personnel action recommendations.
- Plan, organize, facilitate, and direct patient care delivered on the unit 24 hours a day in accordance with recognized internal and external standards.
- Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma (required).
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred).
- 1+ years applicable experience (required); 3+ years applicable experience (preferred).
- Equivalent combination of education and/or experience accepted.
- Current Texas license to practice registered nursing.
