Staff Educator Opportunity

West Oaks Hospital, a 176‑bed acute care facility offering psychiatric and behavioral health services for children, adolescents, and adults, is hiring a Staff Educator to develop and implement the hospital’s education and training program.

• Develop annual education plan
• Conduct new hire orientation
• Oversee competencies (annual skills validation)
• Implement corrective education from audits
• Conduct mock surveys
• Support performance improvement initiatives
• Other duties as assigned

Education Required: Master of Science in Nursing (MSN).

Licensure and Certification

Required:

Current license as Registered Nurse in Texas. CPR and hospital de‑escalation certifications. Preferred:
Certification in Psychiatric Health Nursing (RN‑BC), Nurse Educator Certification (CNE), CPR Instructor.

Experience

Required:

Five years of clinical experience as an RN in a psychiatric setting. Previous experience in staff development, clinical education, preceptor or charge nurse role.
