Job DescriptionJoin a highly collaborative surgical care team delivering critical perioperative nursing support in a fast‑paced acute care environment. This role offers the opportunity to provide hands‑on operating room care while supporting patients through pre‑operative, intraoperative, and post‑operative phases of treatment.

Position Overview
The Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) provides comprehensive perioperative nursing care for patients requiring surgical and acute medical interventions. Working closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary clinical teams, this role supports safe and efficient surgical operations while ensuring high standards of patient care across the operating room and recovery settings.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care across pre‑operative, intraoperative, and post‑anesthesia recovery settings for surgical and acute care patients
- Prepare patients and operating rooms for procedures, including positioning, sterile field setup, and surgical supply coordination
- Support surgeons and procedural teams during operations by maintaining sterile technique and passing instruments and equipment
- Monitor and evaluate patients throughout surgical and recovery phases, responding quickly to changing clinical conditions
- Assist with emergency airway management, diagnostic transesophageal echocardiogram procedures, and acute pain management services as needed
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and clinical staff to ensure safe, efficient patient care and procedural workflow
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with established clinical standards, infection prevention protocols, and organizational policies
- Participate in required education, competency training, and regulatory compliance activities
Requirements & Qualifications
- Current unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in a U.S. state, territory, commonwealth, or the District of Columbia
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required
- Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, including at least 6 months of recent Operating Room RN experience within the past year
- Associate, Bachelor’s, or Master of Science in Nursing from an ACEN‑ or CCNE‑accredited nursing program
- Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing practices, sterile technique, surgical procedures, and post‑operative patient care
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic clinical documentation systems
- Ability to meet credentialing, compliance training, and pre‑employment medical screening requirements
- U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status required, along with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance (MRPT)
