The ACTAT‑EP Heart team at our Memorial City location is seeking an experienced Staff Nurse II to support a highly specialized, outpatient cardiology practice focused on advanced cardiac and electrophysiology care. This role offers a consistent Monday–Friday schedule with no nights, weekends, or holidays, providing an excellent work‑life balance while delivering high‑quality patient care.
The RN II will partner closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and clinical staff to coordinate and deliver comprehensive care for patients with complex cardiac conditions. Responsibilities include patient assessment, care coordination, clinical support for procedures and diagnostics, patient education, and ongoing collaboration across the care team to ensure safe, efficient, and patient‑centered outcomes.

Responsibilities- Performs responsibilities in a manner that promotes quality patient care and customer service/satisfaction.
- Adheres to broad scope of practice as established by Nurse Practice Act.
- Ensures the efficient operation of the clinic or unit by proper scheduling and planning for optimum use of staff and resources, maintenance of stock and supplies, and efficient and safe use of equipment.
- Uses systematic approach to provide nursing care to patients and families/populations by performing focused and comprehensive assessments through subjective and evidence based objective data.
- Prioritizes, synthesizes and documents assessments and nursing plan of care using critical thinking and judgment.
- Implements plan of care within scope of practice through assignment and monitoring of other nurses and delegation and monitoring of unlicensed staff.
- Initiates standing orders for prescription refills and labs as well as standing delegation orders where appropriate.
- Communicates effectively with collaborative team while escalating critical results and issues in an appropriate and timely manner.
- Exercises judgment while coordinating care and referring patients to agencies or health care professionals for other services/transitions in care where indicated.
- Performs onsite and telephone triage using best practice guidelines and documentation to ensure patients receive the right level of care in the right setting at the right time by the right caregiver using the right equipment and supplies.
- Acts as a patient and healthcare advocate by maintaining a safe environment and promoting quality healthcare and services.
- Respects and maintains privacy and confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
- Adheres to standards of practice for professional nursing.
- Acts as a clinical and leadership resource for team members.
- Develops and implements teaching plans concerning maintenance, promotion and restoration of health. Evaluates patients' responses and outcomes to education and therapeutic interventions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Registered Nurse (RN) State Licensure or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) by Texas Board of Nursing (BON) required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) by American Heart Association (AHA) required.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) by American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing from an accredited nursing school with one year nursing experience required.
- Associate's Degree in nursing from an accredited nursing school with three years nursing experience required.
- Nursing Diploma (3 year program) and two years nursing experience required.
- Years Of Experience Varies Based On Education Level Required.
