The Staff Registered Nurse (RN) position provides professional nursing care to a diverse patient population, conducts nursing assessments, assists with exams and treatment, performs clinical triage, teaches patients, and maintains medical records. The RN communicates and collaborates with physicians and the interprofessional health‑care team to coordinate compassionate, efficient, quality care and achieve desired treatment outcomes during and after care.

This role demonstrates clinical competence when providing care, using technology, administering medications, performing procedures, and managing emergencies, and acts as a patient and family advocate to monitor and maintain patient rights. It also uses leadership skills and clinical judgment to coordinate patient care and direct and delegate activities of the clinical team, and may serve as a preceptor for new employees and contribute to management initiatives.
