Registered Nurse; NC II - Express Admission Unit - EC; Ben Taub Hospital

The position is a full-time day-shift Registered Nurse (NC II) in the Express Admission Unit at Ben Taub Hospital, part of Harris Health’s Emergency Center.

The Nurse Clinician II (NC II) assists admitted patients in the Admission Holding Unit, applies nursing practice standards, independently manages common patient problems, and seeks assistance when necessary.

• Degree:
  Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred;
  Diploma in Nursing or graduation from an accredited nursing school acceptable.
• Licensure:
  Registered Nurse, licensed in Texas.
• Certification:
  Basic Life Support from AHA or Red Cross; additional certificates as required by the unit/service.
• Experience:
  
  Minimum one year of full‑time RN experience or completion of a graduate nursing (GN) program; acute inpatient experience preferred.
• Language:
  Bilingual skills preferred.
• Communication:
  Above average verbal (heavy public contact); exceptional verbal (public speaking); writing/composing correspondence and reports.
• Proficiency:
  Basic computer skills.

Weekends, holidays, flexible schedule, on‑call duties.
