Infusion RN
Part‑time – Houston, TX, US
Responsibilities- Administer intravenous medications, fluids, and blood products according to physician orders and established nursing protocols.
- Aid physicians during examinations and procedures as needed.
- Monitor patients throughout infusion therapy to assess vital signs, evaluate treatment response, and manage any adverse reactions or side effects.
- Track and assist patients throughout their office visits to ensure continuity of care and positive clinical experiences.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of all patient care activities, including infusion records, medication administration, and progress notes.
- Update patient charts and maintain accurate electronic records using the practice’s Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Prepare, clean, and restock patient care areas, equipment, and infusion tools to maintain readiness and compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure treatment goals are met.
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control, safety, and quality assurance protocols to protect both patients and staff.
- Assist in the maintenance and organization of infusion supplies, medications, and equipment, ensuring adequate inventory levels.
- Participate in team meetings, staff development activities, and quality improvement initiatives to support continuous practice excellence.
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of Georgia (RN preferred).
- Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
- At least 2 years’ experience in a fast‑paced infusion suite.
- Experience with EMR systems.
- Proficiency in IV therapy, including the administration of biologics and the management of central venous access devices (CVADs).
- Prior experience in infusion, rheumatology, or specialty care settings preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient care abilities.
- Commitment to maintaining a professional, compassionate, and patient‑focused environment.
