Travel RN – Labor & Delivery

Houston, Texas

Contract | Travel | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 13-Week Assignment

• Provide direct nursing care for laboring patients, maintaining 1:1 or 2:1 patient ratios as assigned
• Assist with and support vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and PACU recovery
• Perform antepartum care and testing, including continuous electronic fetal monitoring
• Operate unit equipment including Hill-Rom birthing beds, Alaris IV pumps, GE core metrics FM, Panda warmers, CADD Solis epidural pumps, and NOVI wireless FM
• Document patient care accurately using CPN (Centricity) and Meditech EMR systems
• Adhere to unit protocols including Pitocin, cervical ripening, Magnesium Sulfate, Hydralazine, and Labetalol policies

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• AWHONN Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring certification
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications

• OR circulation experience for cesarean sections
• Proficiency in placement of fetal scalp electrodes (FSE) and intrauterine pressure catheters (IUPC)

• Work within a Baby Friendly designated unit supported by 24/7 ancillary services including Anesthesia, Neonatal, Laborist, and Hospitalist coverage
• Join a large, experienced team on a well-equipped 35-bed unit with a 13-bed Maternal Assessment Center for triage of pregnant patients
