We are currently seeking a Pre-Admissions Testing (PAT) Nurse to join our team full-time. This role is key to ensuring that patients are well-prepared for their surgical procedures-both physically and medically-before they arrive for surgery.

What You'll Do:

* Conduct pre-operative assessments via phone or in person, reviewing medical histories and identifying any potential anesthesia or surgical risks

* Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and primary care providers to obtain necessary clearances and lab work

* Educate patients on pre-surgery instructions, including fasting, medication management, and arrival logistics

* Ensure all required documentation is complete prior to the scheduled procedure

* Identify and escalate any health concerns that may affect surgical clearance

* Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough charting in the electronic medical record (EMR) system

* Support patient safety, satisfaction, and readiness through proactive communication and education

Required Experience:

* Current RN license in the state of Texas (or compact license)

* Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

* BLS certification required

* Minimum of 1 year of pre-op, PACU, or pre-admissions experience preferred

* Familiarity with EMR systems and surgical workflows
