• Conduct pre‑operative assessments via phone or in person, reviewing medical histories and identifying potential anesthesia or surgical risks.
• Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and primary care providers to obtain necessary clearances and lab work.
• Educate patients on pre‑surgery instructions, including fasting, medication management, and arrival logistics.
• Ensure all required documentation is complete prior to the scheduled procedure.
• Identify and expedite any health concerns that may affect surgical clearance.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough charting in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• Support patient safety, satisfaction, and readiness through proactive communication and education.

• Current RN license in the state of Texas (or compact license).
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum of 1 year of pre‑op, PACU, or pre‑admissions experience preferred.
• Familiarity with EMR systems and surgical workflows.
