The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient‑centered care in accordance with department requirements and nursing standards. In collaboration with medical providers and the care team, the RN provides individualized, compassionate care using established nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The RN serves as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, and models the organization’s vision, mission, and values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes.
Responsibilities- Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s). Document administration of care in the patient medical record promptly and thoroughly.
- Teach patients, families, and caregivers about patient medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and possible side effects, translating complex terminology for full understanding.
- Teach non‑medicinal follow‑up measures such as healthy diet, exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes; prepare patients and families for future self‑management.
- Manage evidence‑based practices and continuous process improvement initiatives to meet and exceed quality measures.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver a holistic patient treatment plan that promotes and supports recovery.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- NIH Stroke Scale certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
