Kingwood Pines Hospital is a 116 bed facility located in the beautiful residential Kingwood community. We are located about 30 miles northeast of the Houston Medical Center. The hospital provides 24-hour emergency services. We serve children, adolescents, and adults for psychiatric and behavioral health. The hospital also has services in intensive outpatient and partial hospital program services.

Position SummaryThis Nursing Supervisor (RN) is responsible for administrative and clinical supervision of nursing staff. This position will have administrative responsibility for nursing and non-nursing staff assigned to evenings and weekends, as assigned by the Nurse Executive and Administration.
Job Duties /Responsibilities- Provide leadership and direction, on his/her assigned shift, to other registered nurses, licensed vocational nurses, psychiatric technicians, counselors, and unit coordinators.
- Ensure appropriate staffing for number and acuity of patients on assigned shift, utilizing float pool and agency staff, as needed.
- Participate in the nurse management team by assisting in the development of the hospital’s philosophy of nursing and Policies and Procedures.
- Assist the Director and Nursing and Director of Human Resources in determining educational needs of unit staff, to assist in the design and implementation of training of unit staff and to evaluate training effectiveness.

- Graduate of accredited school of nursing (Associate's Degree) required. BSN preferred.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas required.
- Two (2) years related experience required. One year inpatient psychiatric and/or medical/surgical preferred. Previous management experience preferred.
- CPR and HWC Crisis Intervention training must be completed prior to beginning work.
