Registered Nurse (RN) Opportunity - Day Shift at West Oaks Hospital. West Oaks Hospital has provided psychiatric care to the Houston area and surrounding communities for over four decades. Our 176-bed acute care facility includes a 16-bed residential treatment center for adult chemical dependency. We offer behavioral health programs for children, adolescents and adults with inpatient, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient levels of care.

The hospital is accessible off the Southwest Freeway near the Galleria.

• Provide direct patient care under the direction of a Charge Nurse for adults, adolescents, children and geriatric patients with psychiatric and substance abuse conditions.
• Use the Nursing process to manage the Plan of Care for each patient based on applicable standards, policies and procedures.
• Delegate patient care duties to other members of the nursing team to assure optimal patient outcomes.

• Education Required:
  
  Graduate of an accredited school of nursing either through ADN, Diploma or BSN Program.
• Licensure and certification
  
  Required:
  
  Current Texas State Registered Nurse licensure. CPR and hospital de-escalation certifications.
• Experience
  
  Required:
  
  None. Preferred:
  Two years of inpatient psychiatric nursing and/or medical/surgical experience.
