Registered Nurse (RN) Opportunity - Day Shift Responsibilities
West Oaks Hospital is a 176‑bed acute care facility fully accredited with a 16‑bed residential treatment center for adult chemical dependency. The RN will provide direct patient care under the direction of a Charge Nurse for adults, adolescents, children and geriatric patients with psychiatric and substance abuse conditions. Responsible for using the Nursing process to effectively manage the Plan of Care for each patient based on appropriate standards, policies and procedures.
Management of each patient also includes appropriately and effectively delegating patient care duties to other members of the nursing team in order to assure optimal patient outcomes. The RN is also supported in professional development to enhance practice and the profession.

Requirements:
- Education Required:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing either through ADN, Diploma or BSN Program. - Licensure and certification
Required:
Current Texas State Registered Nurse licensure. CPR and hospital de‑escalation certifications. - Experience
Required:
None. Preferred:
Two years of inpatient psychiatric nursing and/or medical/surgical experience.
