We are seeking a Certified Nursing Aide to join our community committed to delivering outstanding care to our residents. As a CNA, you will be responsible for providing physical and emotional support, assistance with activities of daily living (A.D.L.’s), and promote the greatest functional level possible.
What You’ll Do:- Assist with the accurate implementation of the prescribed health care plan.
- Make frequent resident rounds to check the physical comfort, safety, and cleanliness of residents.
- Provide safe services in care and treatment including bathing, feeding, oral care, dressing, hair and nail care, moving residents, and responding to calls.
- Perform cleaning and sanitary services such as emptying and cleaning urinals, commodes, bedpans, showers, wheelchairs, and other equipment.
- Accurately document Activities for Daily Living (ADL’s), intakes and outputs and other appropriate information on charts.
- Wake residents, assist with morning grooming, and move residents to the dining room.
- Change soiled and unsoiled linen; distribute clean towels during shift.
- Ensure resident safety by detecting, correcting, and reporting situations that could cause accidents or injuries.
- Observe and report resident reactions and changes in condition; take vital signs as required.
- Safely lift and reposition residents as necessary.
- Pick up meal trays, distribute snacks daily.
- Encourage and participate in restorative measures; assist in activities.
- Intervene professionally in resident disputes or disruptive behavior to maintain safety and harmony.
- Perform other support tasks such as assisting at the nursing station, answering phones, and meal service as requested.
- Follow Buckner’s 5
STARS of customer service and respond promptly to requests.
- CPR/First Aid certified.
- High School Diploma (or GED) and at least 1 year of experience as a nursing assistant.
- Proficient English speaking, reading, and writing.
- Ability to handle up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently, or up to 10 pounds continuously.
- Work involving bending, stooping, twisting, turning, reaching, lifting, carrying, pulling, pushing, climbing, kneeling, walking, and standing for >75% of shift.
- Ability to walk, sit, and stand sometimes for prolonged periods.
