Registered Nurse; NC II- Night Shift - Express Admission Unit - EC - Ben Taub Hospital

Job Summary

Harris Health Ben Taub Hospital is looking for experienced nurses to assist with admitted patients in the Admission Holding Unit located in the Emergency Center.

The Nurse Clinician II (NCII) has the knowledge and skills necessary to meet standards for professional practice specified in the Texas Nursing Practice Act and by HCHD Nursing Service. The NCII independently and safely manages patients with problems common to patients in the assigned clinical area; recognizes when assistance is needed and seeks appropriate resources.

• Degrees: Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred;
  Diploma in Nursing from an accredited school.
• Licensure/Certification: Registered Nurse, licensed to practice in Texas;
  Basic Life Support from an AHA or Red Cross approved program; other certificates as required by the unit or service.
• Work Experience: One (1) year full‑time RN experience or completion of the GN program; acute inpatient experience preferred.
