The Nurse Clinician II (NCII) possesses the knowledge and skills required to meet the standards for professional practice as specified in the Texas Nursing Practice Act and by HCHD Nursing Service. The NCII independently and safely manages patients with problems common to patients in the assigned clinical area, recognizing when assistance is needed and seeking appropriate resources.

• Degrees: Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred;
  Diploma in Nursing;
  Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing
• Licensure/Certification: Registered Nurse licensed to practice in Texas;
  Basic Life Support (BLS) from an American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross approved program;
  Other certificates as required by unit/service
• Work Experience: One (1) year full‑time RN experience or completion of a Graduate Nursing (GN) Program
