Job Summary

• Rapidly assess and triage patients upon arrival, prioritizing care based on severity
• Explain emergency procedures and treatments to patients and families
• Administer medications and treatments per protocols
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during emergency treatments
• Monitor patient safety and comfort, responding to immediate needs
• Document patient conditions, vital signs, and nursing interventions in EMR
• Initiate patient education plans based on individual needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
• Adhere to hospital safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
• Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice

• One year of recent ER RN experience
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certification

• TNCC, NIHSS, CPI, NRP, and SANE certifications
• Other certifications or licenses relevant to the position

• Critical thinking and excellent interpersonal communication
• English language proficiency
• Ability to read/write and follow instructions; PC skills
• Physical stamina: stationary maintenance, moving equipment 50‑100 lbs, push/pull, bend
• Interpersonal: work effectively with personnel of all types
• Technical: fine manipulation and use of department equipment
• Mental: cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, continuous concentration
• Sensory: visual acuity and effective communication
