Job Description

About the role:

• Determine donor eligibility to donate plasma, including informed consent, medical history interview and acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and review of Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
• Manage donor adverse events and evaluate donor reactions as outlined in SOPs.
• Review laboratory test results and notify donors of unsuitable test results.
• Provide medical support under guidance of the Center Manager and Center Physician, including guidance on medical or technical issues and donor safety and eligibility.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and coordinate further evaluation with occupational health/ER.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations associated with pandemic threats.

What you bring to Takeda:

• High school diploma or equivalent, and completion of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements.
• Current license or certification in the state where responsibilities will be assigned (LPN or LVN).
• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification.
• Fulfilled state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Completed FDA approved training requirements for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.
