USPI Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Greater Heights – Operating Room Nurse

USPI Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Greater Heights is seeking a motivated Operating Room Nurse to join our team. We have 5 OR rooms and 3 treatment rooms and perform outpatient surgical procedures in ENT, General, GI, GYN, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry, and Urology. The candidate must be available Monday‑Friday, with schedule subject to change based on surgical flow of the day, and will need to be available for some early mornings and later evenings.

Position requires weekdays only – no holidays, weekends, or call. Some later evenings are required.

The OR Registered Nurse is responsible for nursing activities related to the care of patients undergoing operative or other invasive procedures. The staff member will care for adult patients, including older adults through geriatric, and pediatric patients from 1 month through adolescence. Scope of service includes gastroenterology, orthopedics, podiatry, ENT, urology, pain management, ophthalmology, and general surgery.

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Minimum two years previous OR experience.
• Current Texas license as a Registered Nurse.
• Current certification in CPR, ACLS, and PALS.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities.
• Ability to deal tactfully with patients, families, physicians, and employees.
• Knowledgeable of policies and procedures specific to operating room nursing.
