Dementia Day Center Nurse

Care Partners is looking for a full-time nurse (LVN or RN) to join our Dementia Day Center Team. The Dementia Day Center Nurse is a critical role in the Center’s operations, providing care to our clients and support to their families.

The Nurse provides daily direct health care to Dementia Day Center participants including medication administration, required healthcare documentation and reporting, emergency first aid, and behavioral interventions. As a member of the management team, the Center nurse guides team members in effective dementia behavior interventions, provides education and counseling to the Center family members, and manages relationships with both incoming and current families.

Ideal candidates must be able to communicate effectively one-on-one and in small groups and work most efficiently in team settings. They must also exhibit compassion and inclusivity of individuals at all stages of dementia. Individuals must be LVN or RN (preferred) with an active license in Texas.

Other requirements include:

• Strong skills in medical and healthcare documentation, including the use of electronic health record systems.
• Sensitivity and non-judgmental attitude regarding social, cultural, and economic status.
• Flexibility in roles as the needs of participants and families change.
• Clear and compassionate communication skills.
• Experience in dementia care, long-term care, or aging services is preferred.
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
