Join Our Team

We are seeking a compassionate, experienced, and dedicated Oncology Research Nurse to join our growing oncology research team serving the Pasadena area of Houston, Texas. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced oncology nurse looking for a flexible position while contributing to innovative cancer research and providing exceptional patient care.

This position is 4 hours per week, with a flexible schedule that can be arranged around the successful candidate's availability and preferred day of the week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapies, supportive medications, and intravenous infusions in accordance with physician orders, Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) standards, and established protocols.
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments before, during, and after treatment, identifying and managing treatment-related toxicities and infusion reactions.
  • Monitor patients receiving systemic anti-cancer therapy and respond appropriately to infusion reactions or medical emergencies.
  • Educate patients and caregivers regarding treatment plans, side effects, symptom management, and supportive care.
  • Coordinate and support patients participating in oncology clinical trials.
  • Maintain accurate clinical and research documentation in compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), FDA regulations, and study protocols.
  • Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, research staff, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care.

Required Qualifications

  • Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
  • Current Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Provider Course Certificate
    .
  • Minimum of two years of oncology nursing experience.
  • Demonstrated competency in chemotherapy administration and intravenous infusion therapy.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Strong communication, assessment, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certification.
  • Previous oncology clinical research experience.
