West Janisch Health Care Center is seeking a strong and compassionate LVN or RN Charge Nurse to join our nursing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse who enjoys leading others, supporting CNAs and fellow nurses, and ensuring residents receive exceptional care every day. Whether you're an experienced Charge Nurse or a skilled nurse ready to step into a leadership role, we want to hear from you.
As a Charge Nurse, you'll play a critical role in the daily success of the nursing department by coordinating care, supporting staff, and serving as a clinical leader on your assigned unit.

- Provide direct nursing care in accordance with physician orders and individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Supervise, support, and mentor CNAs and nursing staff during the shift
- Monitor residents for changes in condition and communicate concerns promptly
- Collaborate with physicians, families, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members
- Ensure accurate and timely EMR documentation
- Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment
- Maintain compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and clinical standards
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and care coordination as needed
- Current Texas LVN or RN license in good standing (required)
- Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or Long-Term Care experience preferred
- Previous Charge Nurse or nursing leadership experience preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication, delegation, and organizational abilities
- Compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused approach to care
