West Oaks Hospital has provided psychiatric care to the Houston area and surrounding communities for over three decades. Our 176-bed acute care facility is fully accredited and included a 16-bed residential treatment center for adult chemical dependency.
We offer a broad range of behavioral health programs for children, adolescents and adults. Treatment is offered at multiple levels of care including inpatient, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient.
We are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to assist you and answer your questions about treatment options and insurance coverage. The hospital is easily accessible off the Southwest Freeway near the Galleria.

West Oaks Hospital is seeking a dynamic and talented Nursing Manager to join our team of compassionate, dedicated professionals. The Nursing Manager will provide direct supervision for all nursing personnel and ensure consistency with West Oaks Hospital philosophy relating to quality patient care through effective leadership. The Nursing Manager will collaborate with the supervisory and administrative staff to ensure the provision of high quality nursing care on a 24 hour a day/7 day a week basis.
The Nursing Manager will also be responsible for coordinating supervision and direction of staff within all units. The Nursing Manager will make rounds on assigned units to assist with problem solving and coordinate the flow of the daily work routines. The Nursing Manager will assist in identification of opportunities for improvement, responsible for data collection and analysis of performance improvement monitors.
Job Duties /Responsibilities:
* To provide role modeling and leadership for nursing staff.
* Responsible for daily staffing needs of the nursing units.
* Responsible for the evaluation of nursing staff performance.
* Ensures the educational requirements for nursing staff are maintained in collaboration with the Nurse Educator.
* Monitors performance indicators and establishes a corrective action plan.
* Assists with the development and implementation of policies and standards of care.
* Assists with the development, revision, and implementation of programs.
* Participates in committees and task force meetings for quality care improvement.
* Adheres to the policies and procedures.
* Adheres to the Service Excellence Standards.

Requirements:
* Education Required:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a BSN.
* Licensure and certification
Required:
Current Texas State Registered Nurse licensure. CPR and hospital de-escalation certifications.
* Experience
Required:
Requires five years of psychiatric experience and two years of management experience.
