American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for an Operating Room position requiring Large Joint and Spine Orthopedic experience and a TX or compact RN license.

• Work in the 2nd floor Operating Room of an orthopedic hospital setting
• Unit includes 17 operating rooms and a 1-bed ER that is not trauma designated
• Staffed with one scrub and one circulator per room, with support techs available for positioning assistance
• Most surgeons work with a PA, CST, or NP during procedures
• Performs procedures including large joint, hand, foot, scope, and spine orthopedic surgeries (no neurosurgery)
• Uses orthopedic surgical equipment and the Meditech EMR system
• Day shift schedule, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
• Report to work at 6:45 AM for huddle on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, with shift ending at 5:15 PM (no second shift relief)
• On-call responsibilities approximately 4 times per month, Monday through Friday only (no weekend call), primarily for staying over to finish cases

• Active RN license (Texas or compact) required
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Operating Room specialty required
• Large Joint and Spine Orthopedic experience required
• Experience with total joints and spine procedures preferred
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)

• Assist with orthopedic surgical procedures including large joints, hand, feet, scopes, and spine cases
• Work alongside a collaborative surgical team including support techs and surgeon assistants (PA, CST, or NP)
• Scrub color required is Ciel Blue (sky blue); hospital does not provide scrubs
• Free parking garage available for employees and contractors
• Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered (no local candidates)
• Unit recognized for top employee and physician engagement within HCA and consistently maintains over 90% patient satisfaction
