US Anesthesia Partners (USAP) – Gulf Coast is seeking PRN Nurse Practitioners (Family or Acute Care) to join our collaborative anesthesia teams across North and Northwest Houston

As a PRN NP, you'll work alongside experienced anesthesiologists and anesthesia care teams, providing comprehensive perioperative care while enjoying the flexibility of a PRN schedule.

• Collaborate with anesthesiologists and the regional block nurse team to provide comprehensive perioperative patient care.
• Administer conscious sedation during regional block procedures.
• Round on preoperative and postoperative regional anesthesia patients.
• Order medications, including controlled substances and narcotics, as clinically appropriate.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments in a systematic manner, addressing physiologic, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, and cognitive needs.
• Provide patient and family education regarding perioperative care and treatment plans.
• Consult with supervising physicians and other healthcare professionals based on patient needs and assessment findings.
• Assist anesthesiologists in performing preoperative surgical evaluations.
• Review medical records, order appropriate diagnostic studies under established protocols, and ensure timely follow-up.
• Maintain effective communication with physicians, nursing staff, and other departments to promote continuity of care and operant efficiency.
• Prioritize patient care while effectively managing multiple responsibilities throughout the day.
• Adapt efficiently to various electronic medical record (EMR) systems utilized across different hospital facilities.
• Maintain compliance with all hospital, state, and USAP policies and procedures while delivering safe, patient-centered care.

• At least 1-2 years Nurse Practitioner experience
• DEA required
• Active Texas NP License
• Completion of Master’s or Post Master’s Degree from an NP program that is accredited by the Commissions on the Collegiate of Nursing Education
