Registered Nurse Cath Lab

Job Summary and QualificationsWhat you will do in this role:
- Maintains a professional appearance and attitude at all times. Promotes and works as a team player.
- Is responsible for the use and functioning ability of the Axiom Artis Hemodynamic system.
- Is knowledgeable of all procedures being performed in the Cath lab to include but not limited to the equipment needed for each stated procedure.
- Is able to be multitask and function as a table operator, scrub person, circulator and or monitor tech.
- Is able to care for pre and post Cath Lab patients
- Is competent in each of the previous roles mentioned and the competencies are evaluated annually and documented on competency skill checklists.
- Initiates and sets-up equipment for each stated procedure. Maintains sterility of equipment during procedures. Is knowledgeable of sterile technique for all stated procedures.
- Is proficient for in veni-puncture skills for the administration of IV conscious sedation, volume and emergency medication during any given procedure.
- Knowledgeable around monitoring during induction of the conscious sedation medication. Continue to monitor pre-intra- and post procedure until patient is fully alert and all VS and Aldrete score return to patient's baseline.
- Maintains a balance of supplies for utilization during procedures while being cost conscious.
What qualifications you will need:
- Associates Degree in Nursing Required
- Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation.
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Required
- 1 year of acute care hospital experience required
