Harris Health Ben Taub Hospital is looking for experienced nurses to assist with admitted patients in the Admission Holding Unit, located in the Emergency Center. The Nurse Clinician II (NCII) has knowledge and skills necessary to meet standards for professional practice as specified in the Texas Nursing Practice Act and by HCHD Nursing Service. The NCII independently and safely manages patients with problems common to patients in the assigned clinical area;
recognizes when assistance is needed and seeks appropriate resources.
- Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
- Diploma in Nursing;
Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing
- Licensure/Certification:
- Registered Nurse licensed to practice nursing in Texas
- Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross approved program
- Other Certifications as required by the unit/service
- Work Experience:
One (1) year full-time RN experience or completion of GN Program;
Acute inpatient experience preferred - Language
Skills:
Bilingual skills preferred - Communication
Skills:- Above average verbal (heavy public contact)
- Exceptional verbal (e.g., public speaking)
- Writing/composing (correspondence/reports)
