Houston Methodist seeks a Manager, Transplant Clinical Operations to lead day-to-day operations for our advanced transplant programs. This role oversees clinical workflows, staffing, and quality initiatives to ensure safe, high-quality, patient-centered care across inpatient and outpatient settings. The manager partners with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes, maintain regulatory compliance (including UNOS/CMS), drive performance improvement, and support data reporting, while fostering a culture of compassion, innovation, and continuous learning.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day transplant clinical operations to ensure safe, high-quality patient care across the transplant program
- Oversee scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation for multidisciplinary transplant teams
- Develop, implement, and monitor clinical protocols, workflows, and performance metrics to meet regulatory and accreditation standards
- Coordinate care pathways across inpatient, outpatient, and perioperative settings for transplant patients and donors
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing leadership, and ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes and experience
- Monitor quality, safety, and compliance data; lead performance improvement and corrective action initiatives
- Manage program budgets, productivity, and resource utilization in alignment with organizational goals
- Support transplant data reporting, audits, and surveys for CMS, UNOS, and other regulatory bodies
- Provide leadership, coaching, and professional development for clinical and administrative staff
- Foster a culture of patient-centered care, innovation, and continuous learning consistent with Houston Methodist values
