Travel RN – Labor and Delivery (Night Shift, 13-Week Contract)

Kingwood, Texas

Contract | Travel | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | 13-Week Assignment

• Provide direct patient care in a Labor and Delivery unit including antepartum, labor, and obstetric emergency settings
• Perform and assist with sterile vaginal exams, FSE/IUPC placement, and non-stress tests (NSTs)
• Circulate for Cesarean Sections and manage patients in the labor PACU
• Administer and manage Oxytocin induction/augmentation and Magnesium Sulfate therapy for preeclampsia and fetal neuroprotection
• Perform insulin drip titration as needed and operate fetal monitoring equipment
• Maintain patient ratios per acuity guidelines and float to the Antepartum Unit (APU) as needed

• Minimum of 2 complete years of Labor and Delivery Unit (LDU) experience, off of orientation
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from AAP
• Demonstrated experience with Magnesium Sulfate drip management, Oxytocin management, and insulin drip management

• Transition Care Nursing (TCN) experience for neonates is a plus
• Flexible, adaptable personality well-suited to a fast-paced Labor and Delivery environment

• Work within a well-staffed Labor and Delivery unit equipped with bedside ultrasounds, fetal monitors, infant warmers, and full OR capabilities
• Gain experience across multiple care settings including OBED, antepartum, labor, and PACU in a supportive team environment
