Job Title: RN, Sr. / Pre-Admission Testing Nurse

Location: Houston, TX 77014

Duration: ~2+ Months (possibilities of extension)

Shift: 08:00 AM - 04:30 PM (Monday through Friday)

• Conduct preoperative assessments, review medical history, medications, allergies, and test results to identify risks and ensure patient readiness for procedures.
• Coordinate required diagnostic tests and collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families on procedures, preoperative instructions, and potential risks while addressing concerns and providing support.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation, ensure compliance with infection control protocols, monitor safety risks, and support optimal surgical outcomes.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program.
• Prior nursing experience in perioperative or preoperative settings is preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Certification in Peri-anesthesia Nursing (CAPA or CPAN) is a plus.
• Must be able to effectively provide detailed education to patients and their families related to the perioperative procedure and processes.
