Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists (GCVS) is seeking a Radiation Oncologist to join our established Radiation Oncology service and become part of a highly collaborative team of specialists. You’ll have the opportunity to provide advanced radiation therapy while working alongside Medical Oncology, Surgery, Diagnostic Imaging, Internal Medicine, Critical Care, and other specialty services.

Our 60,000-square-foot hospital features a Varian Halcyon radiation therapy system capable of advanced radiation therapy modalities, onsite MRI, an Interventional Radiology Suite, and a broad range of specialty services to support comprehensive patient care.

- Provide advanced radiation oncology care for a diverse caseload of veterinary patients.
- Develop individualized radiation treatment plans in collaboration with the broader oncology team.
- Utilize the Varian Halcyon radiation therapy system and advanced imaging capabilities to support diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Collaborate closely with Medical Oncology, Surgery, Diagnostic Imaging, Internal Medicine, Critical Care, and other specialty services.
- Build strong relationships with referring veterinarians through consultation, communication, and continuing education.
- Participate in clinical education and mentorship of interns, specialty interns, residents, and support team members.
- Work closely with LVTs, technicians, and client service coordinators to provide seamless, compassionate patient care.
- Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners throughout diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing care.
- Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture built on collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning.
- DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure.
- Board Certification in Radiation Oncology or Residency Trained in Radiation Oncology.
- Strong communication skills with a compassionate, client-centered approach.
