• INVENTORY:
  The Senior Buyer will be responsible for driving inventory turns performance on a customer‑by‑customer basis. Working with Account Managers to ensure the correct inventory policies are being applied to support individual customers’ supply requirements and the business goals.
• MATERIALS PLANNING:
  The Senior Buyer will be responsible for ensuring a good material pipeline is established and that material requirements for each customer are aligned with the site build schedule.
• SUPERVISION:
  Coordinate all material planner and expeditor activities daily, ensuring the correct level of staff and skill levels to manage all material aspects of the business.
• SYSTEMS:
  Maintain integrity of all materials data loaded onto facility systems. Ensure that users, such as SAP and MAPS, are fully trained and aware of these systems’ capabilities.
• INVENTORY:
  Establish process to analyse and publish inventory accuracy reports weekly. Examine inventory movement, processes, and procedures to accurately track, move, and dispose of inventory.
• MRB / DISPOSALS:
  Manage movement and disposal of excess, damaged, or obsolete materials. Assign tasks in MRB process and ensure daily action and disposal of non‑conforming material.
• COMMUNICATION:
  Establish and maintain effective communication within the Materials Planning Group and the factory so employees are aware of issues.
• TEAMWORK:
  Act as good team member, aware of business issues, and deputize for Materials Manager when needed.
• APPRAISALS:
  Administer structured appraisal system, training needs analysis, succession planning, and employee development.
• REQUISITION CONTROL:
  Obtain manual and electronic approvals for all materials requisitions before purchase orders are placed by the European Procurement group.
• MEASUREMENTS:
  Responsible for regular Materials KPI, Minimum E&O, Supplier KPI, % Inventory in MRB, Line downtime due to material, Excess, Inventory aging. Implement processes to measure and report these metrics weekly.

• Further education qualification such as a Degree in a relevant discipline, or an equivalent recognised qualification.
• At least three years of management/supervisory experience in a materials role, preferably within high‑volume electronics manufacturing.
• Clean driving license and current full passport.
• Flexibility with respect to working hours and foreign travel; overtime expected and paid in salary.
• Good command of business English; additional language skills beneficial.

• Good organisational and leadership skills with the capability to delegate and reprioritise based on business conditions.
