Safety Specialist

Description

Our client in East Houston is seeking a Safety Specialist to join their team. This opportunity is ideal for a safety professional with strong compliance knowledge, OSHA experience, and a proactive approach to process improvement and workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities

+ Support and promote a strong safety culture across the facility

+ Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements

+ Manage OSHA reporting and assist with safety-related projects

+ Conduct safety audits, inspections, and follow-up on corrective actions

+ Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance workplace safety

+ Partner with operations and leadership to address safety concerns and implement best practices

+ Maintain accurate safety documentation and reports using MS Office

Schedule

+ Must be able to work rotating shifts, alternating between days for one month and nights for one month

+ Schedule includes 10-12-hour shifts

+ Required to work only 2 Saturdays per month

+ Our client is known for being flexible and supportive with family and kid-related events

Requirements

Qualifications

+ 3+ years of safety experience

+

Experience with compliance, OSHA reporting/projects, and safety audits

+ Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office

+ OSHA 30 required; additional safety certifications are a plus
