Jereh North American Group is seeking a hands-on Safety Manager to lead workplace safety across manufacturing, warehouse, service, and Oil & Gas field operations. This role will build and execute practical safety programs, ensure regulatory compliance, investigate incidents, reduce operational risk, and maintain a visible presence across company and customer locations.
The ideal candidate brings strong OSHA knowledge, sound judgment, and direct experience supporting both manufacturing and field-based Oil & Gas operations.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and continuously improve company safety plans, programs, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, company, customer, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Conduct facility and field inspections, audits, risk assessments, and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).
- Track corrective actions through timely, documented, and verified closure.
- Lead investigations involving injuries, near misses, property damage, and vehicle incidents.
- Perform root-cause analysis and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Manage safety risks involving machining, welding, forklifts, chemical storage and use, high-voltage systems, and high-pressure testing.
- Support Oil & Gas field activities, including high-voltage and high-pressure work, commissioning, installation, maintenance, mobilization, and vehicle travel.
- Support management‑of‑change processes for new equipment, process changes, and field mobilizations.
- Develop and deliver safety orientation, regulatory training, toolbox talks, and supervisor safety training.
- Maintain safety records, training matrices, investigation reports, emergency plans, and regulatory documentation.
- Coordinate emergency drills, post‑event reviews, and improvement actions.
- Manage contractor and vendor safety qualification, orientation, and compliance monitoring.
- Support customer safety reviews and interface with regulators, insurers, and external parties as needed.
- Monitor safety performance metrics, identify trends, and present priorities and recommendations to leadership.
- Partner with Human Resources on applicable drug and alcohol testing and post-incident requirements.
- Maintain a visible, credible safety presence in manufacturing, warehouse, service, and field operations.
- Build practical solutions that protect employees while supporting safe, efficient operations.
- Address unsafe conditions promptly and escalation significant risks appropriately.
- Translate regulatory and company requirements into clear, workable actions for employees and supervisors.
- Promote employee involvement, hazard identification, near‑miss reporting, and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrate ownership, follow‑through, professional courage, and strong decision‑making.
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent directly relevant experience may be considered.
- Seven or more years of progressive safety experience.
- Direct safety experience in both manufacturing and Oil & Gas field operations.
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and practical hazard‑control methods.
- Experience with incident investigation, root‑cause analysis, audits, risk assessments, training, and safety metrics.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively at all organizational levels.
- Ability to travel to company, customer, and field locations as business needs require.
- CSP, ASP, CSM, OHST, CHST, or comparable safety certification.
- OSHA 30‑Hour General Industry and/or Construction certification.
- Experience in hydraulic fracturing, power generation, rotating equipment, heavy manufacturing, fleet safety, or multi‑site operations.
- Experience with safety management systems, digital safety tools, or ISO 45001.
- Familiarity with KPA Flex/Novara, Samsara, Smartsheet, and ERP platforms.
This role works across office, manufacturing, warehouse, service, and Oil & Gas field environments. Regular travel, use of personal protective equipment, and occasional work outside normal business hours may be required.
