Job Summary

The Safety Manager is the guardian of our people, our culture, and our operations. This role owns the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of all safety, health, and environmental programs across our Houston manufacturing facility, office, and field-installation sites. By embedding our Core Value of Safety into every process, the Safety Manager ensures zero-harm operations, full regulatory compliance, and a workplace where every team member can thrive — both on the production floor and at active job sites.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Safety Program Leadership:
Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety policies, procedures, and training programs that reflect our Core Values and meet or exceed OSHA, ANSI, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Risk Identification & Mitigation:
Conduct regular facility audits, job-site safety assessments, and hazard analyses; identify risks in manufacturing processes and installation activities, then implement practical controls.
  • Training & Culture:
Deliver engaging safety orientation, toolbox talks, and ongoing training for all employees and subcontractors; champion our “Safety-First” mindset and recognize positive safety behaviors.
  • Incident Management:
Lead incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective-action tracking; maintain accurate records and report to leadership with transparency and accountability.
  • Compliance & Documentation:
Ensure all required permits, SDS documentation, PPE programs, and emergency plans are current; serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies.
  • Cross-Department

    Collaboration:

Partner with Production, Installation, Design, and Sales teams to integrate safety into processes and procedures.
  • Field Engagement:
Perform regular site walks and field surveys (up to 25% local travel) to assess installation conditions, enforce safe work practices, and support our installation crews on commercial job sites.
  • Continuous Improvement:
Monitor leading and lagging safety metrics (TRIR, DART, etc.), drive data-informed improvements, and keep the organization agile in responding to new hazards or regulatory changes.
Qualifications

Education and Experience

Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or related field OR High School Diploma/GED with 7+ years of progressive safety leadership experience in manufacturing or construction.
  • Minimum 5 years of safety management experience in a manufacturing or commercial construction environment.
  • Current OSHA 30-Hour Construction or General Industry certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days).
  • Proven ability to build and sustain a strong safety culture in both facility and field settings.
Preferred:
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or other recognized safety certification.
  • Experience in the signage, architectural, or metal-fabrication industry.
  • Working knowledge of Bluebeam, Procore, or similar tools used in our pre-construction and project workflows.
