- Oversee the EHS team to ensure compliance with all EHS regulations
- Support achievement of company and customer objectives
- Maintain, coordinate and communicate EHS processes and procedures
- Review, administer, maintain and ensure compliance with company policies and state and federal regulations
- Conduct on-site audits of facility requirements related to EHS programs and initiatives
- Review, research, develop and communicate EHS programs and solution initiatives
- Develop action plans as necessary
- Lead safety meetings, training and continuing education
- Perform additional duties outside normal responsibilities as needed
- 2 years of related work experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Experience with computerized scanner equipment
- Availability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekends
- CPR/AED/BBP background or current certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent related work or military experience
- Solid time and project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize workloads
- Experience with EHS in a warehousing/distribution environment
- Understanding of industry-related state and federal rules and regulations
- May be required to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must comply with GXO COVID safety policies and applicable CDC, OSHA, state and local requirements
Demonstrates expertise in EHS compliance, program development, and team leadership within a warehousing/distribution environment. Proficient in managing safety initiatives, conducting audits, and ensuring adherence to state and federal regulations.
