Position: Apply for the QC Technician Role at Phagos in Phage Production

The future of phage-based biotechnologies depends on rigorous quality control and precision at every stage of production. To ensure quality and safety in bacteriophage manufacturing, Phagos is currently seeking a phage production – QC technician to join their team and support critical in-process quality control activities throughout the bacteriophage production lifecycle. This role is ideal for a microbiology or biotechnology professional who thrives in GMP-like environments, values accuracy and documentation, and wants to contribute to innovative biological products with real-world impact.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Routine bacterial and phage titrations to monitor culture viability and phage concentration
  • Sterility testing of in-process samples and final products
  • Measurement of endotoxin levels using validated methods
  • Accurate execution of all assigned QC tests within defined timelines
  • Analysis and interpretation of QC results, with prompt reporting of any out-of-specification (OOS) results
  • Operate and monitor laboratory equipment such as incubators, centrifuges, biological safety cabinets, spectrophotometers, and plate readers
  • Maintain strict aseptic conditions to ensure data integrity and prevent contamination
  • Support cleanliness, organization, and safety of the QC laboratory.
Qualifications and

Skills Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree (Bac+3) in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biology, Quality Control, or a related field
  • 2–3 years of hands‑on laboratory experience, preferably in QC microbiology, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical environments (GMP or GMP‑like)
  • Proficiency in microbiological techniques, including strict aseptic technique and bacterial culturing
  • Experience with QC microbiological assays such as sterility, endotoxin, bioburden, and titration testing
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong documentation skills
  • Ability to follow complex SOPs precisely and consistently
